Horror story

As told by a Chinese celebrity...

"I have a friend, but we are not that close. He is from Si Chun, China. When they got married, he and his wife discussed and decided that they wanted a special honeymoon. Something different from their peers. After much discussion, the husband and wife decided to go to Tibet for their honeymoon. They decided on Tibet to experience the nature 'feel'. Before they went on the trip, they google and checked which part of Tibet for attraction or some places that can have fun.

Coincidentally, they found on the internet that there is a small town not far away from La Sa Shi, there is a temple. There is a La Ma teaching in the temple which for years, is never open to the public. On this particular year, the monks decided to have a ceremony and welcome the public.

The couple found a few good friends to go with them on their honeymoon. They rent a mini bus and drove over to the temple. The couple told this celebrity friend that the town/temple was really beautiful; blue sky with white clouds, fresh air, the people and place are very simple.

In front of the temple, there is a line of makeshifts vendors selling souvenirs. There were also some young La Ma monks. When the couple was buying the souvenirs, from the corner of their eyes, at the back of the young La Ma monks, they saw a old La Ma monk sitting and chanting. At that moment, the couple didn't think much of this.

After buying the souvenirs and paying, at this point of time, suddenly there was a hand grabbing my friend's arm! My friend turned and saw who was that. It was the old La Ma monk that they saw earlier on. He did not know what was going on. Why the old La Ma monk grabbed his hand.

The old La Ma monk told the husband to go and pray, light up 3 joss sticks and then followed me to meet a person. At that moment, my friend was thinking, "Who are you? Are you crazy? Out of nowhere and grabbed my arm and asked me to pray?" The old La Ma monk insisted on him praying and followed him to see someone.

Actually, before going to the temple, the husband heard that lighting up the joss sticks in this temple is very expansive as the joss sticks are thick and long. One joss stick is about TWD$10500. If he was to pray 3 joss sticks, it would be even more expansive!

Right there, the husband was thinking, maybe he came across a scammer and ignored the old La Ma monk. While the husband was struggling to get away from the old La Ma monk, his friends came over. His friends managed to break free of the husband and the old La Ma monk.

The friends thought, we still have another place to go, just ignored this La Ma monk. They got on to the rented mini bus. The husband was seated at the back of the mini bus, and when he turned around to see, the old La Ma monk was chasing after the moving mini bus, waving his hand at the husband. The husband told the celebrity friend that, actually the image of the old La Ma monk running after the mini bus was rather pitiful. But at that time, the husband just brushed it off as a cheat.

After the honeymoon was over, the couple and their friends went back to Cheng Du. When he reached Cheng Du, he kept having high fever and vomiting and diarrhea. This went on for a week. The husband's mother felt it was a little weird as he was an adult and was having a high fever of 39 Degree Celsius. The mother asked the daughter-in-law, what happened when they went to Tibet. The daughter-in-law told her that they encountered an old La Ma monk who stopped and insisted the husband to burn 3 joss sticks and followed him to see someone. The mother felt something was amiss.

For the sake of her son, the mother decided to pray. Since going to Tibet is too far, Si Chun have a Er Mei Shan temple which have a priest that have high powers. Once the mother reached there, she told the whole story to the priest. After hearing the whole story, the priest said he was sure that the old La Ma monk saw something around her son, something 'dirty'. Which was why the old La Ma monk insisted on the husband to burn 3 joss sticks.

The mother asked for help. The priest said since he never see the son in person, on his behalf, the priest wrote some Fu and given her some instructions on what to do.

After following the priest's instructions, the son got better. One year later, the couple gave birth to a healthy chubby baby boy. The whole family was very happy. Just got married a year and they had a son!

While they were having the full month baby party, an accident happened that upset everyone. Everyone was gathering together to take a family photo, and the granny was carrying her grandchild. Just was they were going to take the photo, the granny's arms suddenly lost control, it was as if someone was manipulating her arms! The recently one month baby boy fell out of his granny's arms and unfortunately, dead on the spot as his head hit the ground first. The couple was devastated.

The worst part was, one month later, the granny felt too guilty over this incident, got depressed and passed away. In a short period of time, 2 lives were gone.

After settling the funerals and everything, the couple felt that they must had done something wrong. Just then, the wife thought of something, and told the husband, that she remember a year ago, when they got back from Tibet, the mother-in-law went to Er Mei Shan and asked a priest for help. maybe they should pay the priest a visit and asked what was going on.

The couple went to Er Mei Shan and told the priest what happened recently. After listening, the priest confirmed that there was something 'dirty' going on and it won't stop here. He asked the couple what else happened? The wife thought for a while and said, before their honeymoon, they played ouija board with their friends. The 8 of them pricked their finger on the board, which means, this is for real as blood is involved.

When it came to the husband's turn to ask a question,  he thought this is bullshit and he was the first one to remove his finger from the ouija board. Which means, while playing, he removed his finger from the board.

Upon hearing that, the priest said, "You really made a big grave mistake! The spirit that you guys invited is not some spirit but is a baby spirit. When it was having fun, and you took away your finger, you stopped the game. It was not happy because it did not have enough fun yet. That was why the baby spirit haunts you." The priest continued, "The the unfortunate incidents happened on your baby son and your mother was because the baby spirit was looking for you. And your mother seek help and helped you, the baby spirit couldn't find anyone else but your mother and your son."

When the couple went back to Cheng Du, they took out the photos that they took in La Sha, Tibet. Upon closer look, they saw the group photo, only the husband's head above floated a baby head image. They watched the full month baby party video, everything seemed normal until the scene whereby they were gathering to take the family photo. The couple can see very clearly that on his mother's back, there was a baby, the baby was controlling the mother's arms! This explained why the mother lost control of her arms and dropped her precious baby grandson."

Marina Bay Sands Hotel

Able to stay overnight for 2 nights due to a kind gentleman's gesture. :D The room is in Tower 1, level 47 and facing the Marina Bay Sands Shoppes. Good view because you can see the Singapore River.

It's a Queen sized bed. Very comfy; not so hard, not so soft, just right! And the sheets and pillows were clean and smelled just like a clean hotel room should smells like. Haha. The pillows are just right too, not too flat nor too fluffy.

The living room. Spacious area with a 3 seaters sofa bed, a armchair and a coffee table. Not sure if the newspaper were pre-required or it was provided. The sofa bed was quite comfy sleeping on it.

The TV console cum mini-bar inside.

The working table area.

The shower area. I like the stone 'seat' which we are able to sit down during shower time. I would want that concept in my future bathroom but a 4 room HDB flat is too small for this. :( Anyway, the water will splash all around the shower area. So putting your clothes and towel on the stone seat is a bad idea~ Haha...

The kind gentleman cooked pork trotters! It was really delicious! He even taught me how to cook. Hahaha!

Two basins with hot and cold water taps.

Forgot to take a photo of the bathtub. We didn't manage to take a bath in it also.

Tim Ho Wan

Went to Tim Ho Wan to try out the famous Michelin Star restaurant. It is good! I'm not sure why some people said it wasn't good. The quality is so much better than most dim sum sell in Singapore.

We queued for 2-4 hours, including waiting for a table of 4. The queue stretched to the side of the restaurant, luckily it rained earlier on, if not, I think most people will complain how humid it was while waiting. We were able to take a piece of their menu and decide what we want.

Vermicelli roll with BBQ pork
The chee cheong fan aka Vermicelli Roll is really delicious! I never like chee cheong fan because it doesn't taste good enough. We also ordered the vermicelli roll with pig's liver (one of the Big 4 Heavenly Kings) but it was gone because I went to toilet. :( It costs $5.50 for a plate, 3 rolls.

The garlic, mushroom, spinanch dumpling was good. The filing was alot and the skin was thin enough. It costs $3.80 for a basket.

The glutinous rice dumpling was ok, nothing wow about it. It costs $5 for 1 pc.

The pork dumpling with shrimp was also not bad. I never like the shao mai that are sold in Singapore. It just tastes, "not right". Haha. It costs $5 for a basket of 4 pcs.

Pork Rib with Black Bean Sauce was good! The meat was tender and the sauce was not salty. Costs: $4.20 a basket.

Beancurd Skin Roll with Pork and Shrimp. Costs $4 for 3 rolls. This is yummy~ It smells really fragrant as well.

Rice with Chicken Feet and Pork Rib. Costs $6 a bowl. It was alright, probably because I was already too full from eating all the other dishes.

Chicken Feet with Black Bean Sauce. The portion is more than the other dim sum stalls in Singapore. But then, it tastes similar. Costs $4 a basket.

Fried Carrot Cake, one of the Big 4 Heavenly King. Tastes better than some of the dim sum stalls in Singapore. Costs $4.50 a plate for 3 pcs.

Baked Bun with BBQ Pork, one of the Big 4 Heavenly Kings items. This item is like, the highlight! I see alot of customers order many and takeaway for this item. It really is delicious, crispy and sweet on the outside and warm but not greasy on the inside. Costs $4.50 for 3 pcs.

Fruit Paradise (AMK Hub)

Went to eat at Fruit Paradise at AMK Hub for dinner. The fruit tarts are so tempting that we wanted to eat it even though it was dinner time. The fruits that are used look so fresh! I like the fact that they used cream as the glue for the fruits. Fortunately, Fruit Paradise have main course. I thought it is a dessert themed restaurant. Haha.

Strawberry Tiramisu fruit tart. Costs: $6.80.

The cream that was used for the strawberry tiramisu was light and quite sweet. It was healthy and good for ladies who are afraid that the cream is too fattening. I did not feel too full when I eat this. Normally, cream makes me feel full easily. The strawberries and blueberries were fresh! The strawberries were sweet and not sour, good! The custard base was light too. I love the tart as it was buttery and crispy! :D

Banana Chocolate Soft Ice Cream. Costs: $5.90

The Banana Chocolate Ice Cream is nothing special. Just soft vanilla soft ice cream with chocolate sauce dripped over it and sliced banana with almond flakes on it. The waffles is alright too.

Lemon mint fresh fruit tea. Costs: $4.80

I love this fruit tea! Fresh fruit blended with slight bitter taste of the tea; the tea is refreshing! I ate the fruits after I drank the tea. The tea is refillable, and that's a plus point!

Earl Grey Lavender Tea. Costs: $3.80

Earl Grey tea with a hint of lavender smell. It's quite refreshing too. I threw in a slice of strawberry in it to make it a fresh fruit tea. Haha.

Fried Prawns Curry Rice. Costs: $12.90

The fries and rice combo makes one feel full after eating. The prawns are quite fresh. Was expecting a very big portion but it turned out to be just right. It's just the plate that makes it looks big.

Chicken Cutlet Curry rice. Costs: $12.90

I don't like that my chicken cutlet was soaked in curry. :( I like it to be crispy. The chicken cutlet was so-so. Normal, nothing special.

Welcome aboard to Star Cruise SuperStar Virgo!

Got a free inside cabin room in Star Cruise SuperStar Virgo! :D Been years since I board a cruise.

The inside cabin bunk is small, the 2 beds are narrower than a single bed but seem cozy enough, especially the right bed.

This bed seem bigger but I think it is the same size as the 2 beds. It is a little troublesome to climb up to sleep. No one use that. Hahaha... There is a pull out bed under the right bed. Not sure if the sofa bed is able to convert to a sofa bed, I didn't check. If it is a sofa bed, then 5 people can bunk in this cabin but it will be really cramped!

Mr Gingerbread Man followed us too! Hahahaha!

The small dressing table. There is a flask to boil hot water but no instant tea nor coffee provided. :(

Complimentary tea - Oolong tea and black tea. It is tea leaves, not instant bags. Troublesome.

The super small toilet. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. Hair dryer is just beside the toilet door.

The humble toilet bowl.

Beside the toilet bowl is the shower area. I don't know why I took this shot. Lousy shot. I like that the sliding door of the shower area is from floor to ceiling, so that I still feel quite warm while I shampoo my hair.

The midship deck. It is somewhat the cruise lobby. The reception is on this floor. There is a water fountain between the 2 steps.

The auspicious table located in the middle of the midship deck.

Tarot card reading and palm reading on the midship deck. They are open at certain timing. I did not try.

The scenery while sailing off.

Out of midship aka cruise lobby. When it is night time, relaxing on the chair, sea breeze blowing, one can easily doze off. It is almost like, lullaby.

The Chinese food buffet located on deck 6, Pavilion room. The food were really delicious! Comparable to any 3-4 stars Chinese restaurants in Singapore. You can order as many as you can!
Breakfast timing is 8am to 10am.
Lunch time is 12pm to 2pm.
Dinner is 6pm to 9pm.
It is recommended to go there earlier as there will be a queue waiting to go in.

The Mediterranean Buffet - International, located on deck 12. There were dessert (cakes, jelly etc), Chinese food, Western food, Malay food etc
Breakfast timing is 8am to 10am.
Lunch time is 12pm to 2pm.
Dinner time is 6pm to 9pm.
Supper time is 1130pm to 1am.

The night view of the top deck. There is the long water slide that we didn't manage to take. :(

Instant Win Jackpot Lottery! Didn't manage to participate. :( I think one ticket is $10 ~ $30.

Performance - Welcome Aboard Show: Somewhere In Time, at 1030pm at The Lido, deck 7. The Lido is like, a theater. The performance was really awesome! The performers are skilled, balancing, coordinating with one other etc.

The sunrise is so chio!

Breakfast at the Pavilion Room, deck 6. It's buffet style. But there is a menu for you to order too, dishes like, pancakes, types of eggs, bacon etc.

The sunset.

K-pop Performance by Celine Jessandra School of Performing Arts at the Galaxy of the Stars, deck 12. Young girls and boys sing in Korean and dance. Not really my type of performance. :x

Nikita - A Topless Show. Also showing at the Lido theatre, deck 7. We paid $35 each. They promised a "burlesque" experience, and it was~ Most of the girls are chio! They were dancing, lip syncing or really sang, slow strip tease, and there was some dry hump! Haha.

Checked out of our cabin bunk and the family from the next door cabin had already checked out. The housekeeping had already make up the room! I sneaked in to take photos. Hahaha. It is a balcony cabin. Looks so much spacious and bright~ Since the price of balcony cabin is higher than the rest, of course there are coffee and tea instant provided. One thing I hate was that the hair dryer is outside of the toilet.
